Nature Oil Paintings of Newport, OR

michael gibbons galleryResiding in Oregon’s countryside near its scenic, pristine coasts, Michael Gibbons has painted some of his most powerful work from his home. Known as a regionalist painter, Gibbons paints the landscape around him “en plein aire.” He places his interpretation of nature on canvas, while embodying the reality surrounding him.

Gibbons has also traveled to various places around the world to gather inspiration for his work, including various regions of the United States. His regionalist experiences can be seen in the stunning depictions of rural California and Arizona, as well as naturalist paintings of the Pacific Northwest Coast.

All of Michael’s lifetime expressions can be seen in his art museum near Newport, OR, at his gallery in Toledo. He regularly hosts exhibits of his work, both new and classic paintings.
